Ironing area

It is the final ironing of ready-made garments. After the garments are completed, this is the final ironing to give them their final shape. The large ironing machines in garment factories are generally used for the final finishing of the garments, as they tend to wrinkle during the sewing process. Ironing can solve these problems.

Quality Inspection Area

The clothing quality inspection area is a specific region in the clothing production or sales process that is responsible for quality inspection. Its main task is to conduct standardized inspections on the materials, processes, and appearance of the clothing to ensure that the products meet the customer or industry standards and reduce the rate of defective products.

Packing Area

The Packaging Department of a clothing factory is a crucial link in the clothing production process, mainly responsible for garment finishing, quality inspection, packaging, and shipment. The following is a detailed introduction:
Workflow
  • Garment Finishing: Workers first gently smooth out the garments to remove surface dust, then fold them into shape according to standard folding methods, ensuring the collars are upright and the cuffs are aligned.
  • Quality Inspection: Check for garment defects (such as remaining thread ends, stains, fabric holes, sewing issues, etc.).
  • Packaging: Garments are packed in bundles of five or ten. Efforts are made to have garments of the same color and same size in the same box to facilitate customer acceptance.
  • Shipment: Packages are sealed and delivered from the factory only after being signed and approved by the chief quality inspector.
  • Management Key Points
  • Set Quality Standards: Based on the market and positioning, clearly define standards that cover everything from raw materials to finished products. Standards are not static; regular updates are necessary for them to be effective.
  • Train Personnel: The post-production processes rely on people, so their skills must keep up. Conduct regular training and assessments. Don’t rely solely on old experience; quality awareness must be deeply rooted.
  • Control the Process: Each operation step has regulations and inspections, and data monitoring is essential. As soon as a problem emerges, solve it immediately; don’t let it drag on until the end.
  • Establish a Feedback Mechanism: Collect quality inspection results and customer complaints, analyze them thoroughly, and then make improvements. Don’t hide weak points; only by addressing them can progress be made.
  • Check Performance: Regularly evaluate aspects such as efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction. With data as evidence, problems are clear at a glance, and there is a direction for optimization.

Transportation

Maritime transport (international transport): Suitable for bulk goods and long-distance transportation (such as intercontinental transportation). Advantages: Low cost and large shipping capacity, suitable for non-urgent orders. Common forms: Container transport (FCL/LCL), bulk carriers, etc.
Air transport (for urgent or high-value goods): Suitable for orders with high timeliness requirements (such as electronic components, precision instruments). Advantages: Fast speed (3-7 days), but relatively high cost. Common forms: Full cargo aircraft transport or cargo carried in the belly of passenger aircraft.
Land transport (road/railway): Road transport: Flexible, suitable for short-distance or door-to-door delivery, and suitable for small and medium-sized batch orders. Railway transport: Suitable for medium and long-distance bulk goods (such as auto parts), with a cost lower than maritime transport but higher than road transport.
Multimodal transport (comprehensive transport): Combines maritime transport, air transport, land transport, etc., to optimize cost and timeliness. For example: Transport by sea to the port and then transfer to road distribution, or a combination of railway and air transport.
Third-party logistics (3PL) services: OEM companies often outsource transportation to professional logistics companies to simplify processes and reduce costs. Advantages: Provide one-stop services such as customs clearance, warehousing, and insurance.
